Understand Social Media Traffic with News Consumer Insights (NCI)
News Consumer Insights (NCI) analyzes Google Analytics data to help you increase traffic from social media sources.
STEP 1
Connect your Google Analytics account with News Consumer Insights.
STEP 2
Go to the Reader Engagement section, then scroll down to Traffic Sources.
STEP 3
Hover over the blue bubbles labeled Facebook, Twitter, Other Social, and Dark Traffic* (misclassified direct traffic) to view the quantity and value of traffic from social networks.
If you haven’t posted on social media, or if less than 1% of your traffic comes from social platforms, the blue bubbles will not appear.
STEP 4
Click View Recommendation to find out whether you should focus more on social media.
